MKOMAZI PARK

Mkomazi National Park is one of Tanzania’s hidden gems, a semi-arid savannah reserve known for its endangered species conservation and dramatic landscapes.

🌍 Location & Size

• Found in northern Tanzania, between Kilimanjaro and Tanga Region, bordering Tsavo West National Park in Kenya.
• Covers about 3,245 km², making it a large but less-visited park compared to Serengeti or Ngorongoro.

• Declared a National Park in 2008 (previously a game reserve).
